To enrol in a Department of Education approved 3 day Health and Safety Advisor or 1 day Health and Safety refresher training course, please follow the below enrolment process.

Please follow the below instructions to enrol:

  1. Click on the Health and Safety Advisor enrolment form link for Term 1 below. This will open the form.
  2. Ensure you click on and use the dropdown menu to select your dates. If you do not select your dates, by clicking on the selection from the menu we may not receive the right information.
  3. Fill in your information and hit submit. If you have to print the form ensure that the correct dates are selected from the dropdown list before scanning.

BSB60619 – Advanced Diploma of Work Health and Safety

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply advanced practical knowledge and skills to coordinate, facilitate and maintain a Work Health Safety (WHS) program. It is suited to those who possess significant work health and safety skills and knowledge; and wish to consolidate and build pathways to further educational and/or employment opportunities.

BSB51319 – Diploma of Work Health and Safety

This qualification reflects the role of individuals coordinating and maintaining the work health and safety program in an organisation. This qualification applies to supervisors and managers who apply a substantial knowledge base and well developed skills in a wide variety of WHS contexts.

BSB41419 – Certificate IV Work Health and Safety

This qualification applies to individuals working in a work health safety role who provide a broad range of technical knowledge and skills and have some limited responsibility for the output of others.

This qualification applies to those working as supervisors, WHS personnel and workers in other WHS related roles who manage risks effectively, apply relevant WHS laws and contribute to WHS within the workplace in known or changing contexts with established parameters.

BSB50920 – Diploma of Quality Auditing

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who possess a sound theoretical knowledge base in quality auditing and use a range of specialized, technical, or managerial competencies to plan, carry
out evaluate their own work or the work of an audit team. The job roles that relate to this qualification may include Lead Auditor and Quality Assurance Manager.

Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator (Qld)

This course includes the units:

FNSPIM313 Work within the workers compensation sector

BSBWHS417 Assist with managing the WHS implications of return to work

This course is aimed at people who work, or wish to work, as a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator at a workplace. This training enables participants to understand legislation and apply appropriate injury management principles.

Work Safely in Confined Spaces Course

This course includes the following units:

State legislation requires that all persons with work activities related to confined space/s must be provided suitable and adequate training, information and instruction to perform those activities.  The relevant course should be chosen dependent on required outcome. Supervisors and others responsible for confined space work should attend an Authorised Person course as a minimum, and those who will work in confined spaces or assist those who work in confined spaces should attend Work Safely in a Confined Space.

HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

This unit of describes the skills and knowledge required to provide basic emergency life support and first aid response in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation council and other national peak clinical bodies. These units apply to all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting

This unit applies to a range of workers within an education and care setting who are  required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies. This includes early childhood workers and educators who work with school age children in outside school hours care and vacation programs.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

UETDRRF004 Perform Rescue From A Live LV Panel (Includes HLTAID009 Provide CPR)

This course is aimed at people in the electrical industry who wish to gain low voltage switchboard rescue and resuscitation skills for their workplace or personal benefit. This course meets the requirements of the Electrical Safety Act and the Code of Practice: Electrical Work, Part 4 – Working Live.

RIIWHS204D Work Safely at Heights

This course is applicable to Managers, Supervisors with responsibility for workers working at heights.  It is most appropriate for workers working in operational roles where they are required to perform work at heights.

This purpose of this course is to provide information about the correct methods for checking, using, maintaining, cleaning and storing of personal fall prevention equipment.

Work Health and Safety Officer (WHSO)

This course will provide participants with information and skills that will assist WHSOs to carry out their role and functions under the WHS legislation including: an understanding of the work health and safety (WHS) legislation; an understanding of how it applies to their role; and the knowledge and skills necessary assist employers to meet their obligations under the WHS legislation. From the 1st of July 2018, WHSOs appointed under the legislation are required to attend this course (or have equivalent qualifications). The target audience for delivery of this course includes workers employed to assist an employer manage their obligations under the WHS Act in their capacity as a WHSO.

Health & Safety Representative (WHSQ-HSR-NCB-01)

Elected HSR’s are entitled to approved training under the WHS Act to assist them in performing their role and using their powers under the WHS Act. Participants will gain an understanding of their role and powers and attain the necessary skills to meet the requirements of the WHS Act for elected Health and Safety Representatives.
